LARGE-SCALE RAILWAY PROJECTS: MITIGATING THE RISKS
This session will explore risk management strategies for the construction and operation of mass transit and high-speed rail systems, both within cities and between them. Panelists will assess from the employer/government perspective the issues affecting rail investment and development, upgrading vs. the greenfield approach, project procurement and delivery models, risk analysis and allocation, and project management. From the contractor’s perspective, panelists will explore preferred project procurement and delivery models, managing risks, dispute resolution models, and operations vs. construction issues.
